You could wake up in our enchanting 14th century Northumbrian castle – just a short hop from Hexham – on Christmas morning and then see your Christmas fairy-tale magically unfold over the next couple of days.
Christmas at Langley Castle Hotel is a joyous occasion, played out in our cosy medieval window seats, in front of our roaring log fires and in the light that cascades through our huge stained-glass windows and sparkling chandeliers.

Festive castle-stay packages
If you wish to become a king or queen of the castle, choose either a two or three-day experience. Both begin on December 24 with cocktails and a delightful Christmas Eve meal, served in atmospheric Josephine’s.
You can tailor your luxurious accommodation to your desires and budget, with a choice of a Deluxe Castle Room inside our fairy-tale castle walls, or a more contemporary fabulous room in Castle View, in our extensive grounds.
On the big day itself, once a glorious Northumbrian breakfast is served up, the Langley chefs will continue to tend to every culinary need. They shall conjure up a festive lunch to remember, with all the trimmings and a few innovative twists to relish.
Guests who are still peckish later on in the day, need not worry. They can indulge in an evening hot and cold buffet, just leaving enough room for their hearty breakfast on Boxing Day.
Those enjoying a three-day experience, can perhaps chill out castle-style even more, knowing both lunch and breakfast are included, or decide to explore further afield.

Also included and not-to-be-missed in the festive package is a Battlements Tour, which we run daily all year round, so our guests can fully appreciate our fairy-tale castle’s rich and colourful medieval history. Quiet time can also be spent in our wooded and lawned grounds, whilst excess calories can be walked off by driving for just a short distance and exploring the walking routes along World Heritage Site, Hadrian’s Wall.
A two-night stay, for two people sharing costs between £505 (Castle View Lodge) and £700 (Castle Feature Room) per person, with a range of other choices outside and inside the castle in-between. A three-night stay for two people in the former costs £641 per person and £933 per person in the latter, again with other options available. Single person supplements apply to these rates, which are for shared room occupancy.
