Did you know that, if you treat your dog to a bow-wow factor stay in our medieval castle hotel, they can return with memories, plus a special certificate bestowing true ‘b-wagging’ rights within their doggy circle?

Here at Langley Castle Hotel, built in 1350 and located near Haydon Bridge in Northumberland, we can’t wait to greet our doggy visitors.  We love introducing them to their dog-friendly accommodation, our extensive grounds and the dog-friendly zones within our seven-feet-thick castle walls.

We have even gone the extra mile and created our very own ‘Doggy Guide to Canine Castle Capers’.  If you download a copy of this, you will see that we can offer doggies a special doggy B&B option (Poochy Déjeuner), comprising delicious Scrumptious Sausages and Scrambled Egg as their delightful brekkie.  We also offer a snoozing zone, comprising super-comfy dog bed and nearby water bowl.

But that’s not all.  If a doggy is to stay at a luxurious castle, they should have some special  privileges!

Dog-friendly extras during their Northumberland castle stay

So now, dog companions can simply flash their Canine Castle Capers guide’s Doggy Pawsport page at Langley Castle reception, to receive a little treat.

They can also be the envy of their canine pals, by requesting their Doggy King of Queen of the Castle certificate.  This bears their name and verifying they were a paw-fect guest during an amazing Northumberland castle stay.

That stay can also be greatly enriched by our ‘Doggy Scents of Place’ suggestions.  Using these, Fido can sniff out all the best scents in Langley Castle’s extensive 10-acre wooded and lawned grounds, from those left by squirrels, rabbits and peacocks, to those of woodland trees, bracken and waterside plants and mosses.

Doggy accommodation here in our Northumberland castle hotel is within relaxing Castle View rooms, suites and lodge in Langley Castle’s grounds. However, the doggy visitor can also head inside the castle for meals and relaxation, with food served in our stunning chandelier-lit drawing room.
